May Is
International M.E. Awareness 2019
To mark international M.E AWARENESS Day in MAY 2019 M.E Support Northern Ireland held an event for our members and supporters in the Beechlawns Hotel. We wish to thank all those who attended, particularly Steward Walker, operations director of M.E Research U.K & Paula Bradshaw, MLA.
At this event, we revealed to our members some of the projects that we have been working on over the past several months. Including the launch of our website, this will be a huge resource for our members and everyone effected by M.E across Northern Ireland.
This project was made possible by our supporters including Comber Slimming World & McCracken Memorial Presbyterian Church Belfast We are forever grateful to all those who made this project possible.
We also developed an information booklet to be distributed all across Northern Ireland to help inform all those effected by M.E.
This project was once again made possible by our grantors as well as private donations and membership fees.
Keep an eye out in your local GP surgery to see if you can spot them!!
We also distributed thousands of flyers across Northern Ireland to raise awareness of M.E & the work that we here at M.E Support Northern Ireland carry out.
Lastly, due to the generosity of our members and supporters we were able to donate a further £1,000 to M.E Research U.K. Bringing the total M.E Support Northern Ireland & its members have donated to research to over £20,000.
Once again we would like to thank all those who made these projects to mark international M.E awareness day possible.
We have promotional material for all those that wish to raise money in aid of M.E Support Northern Ireland, email us for more information about fundraising at: info@mesupportni.com
